Each worship segment below is made to work in tandem with each other with the intent of beholding Him. Psalm 27:4 is the connecting tissue and scripture that allows each expression to work together and carry out worship to every portion of our lives.
Art - Artists will begin to paint what they see. While subjects or scriptures may be given, the main focus will be to use imagination to create what we see as we allow worship to take place through brush (or other tools) and canvas.
Music - Worship many times is equated only to music. While that can be true, we are expanding borders and paradigms of this concept. We want to use this creative expression as well. We will do drums circles, write new/spontaneous songs, and even have jam sessions of just expression. Many local and regional musicans will be part of this process.
Hiking - Once a month, we will take an adventure hike. We will hike locally and to locations where we can behold him through nature and wonder. We believe in conservation and exercise to woods and nature.
Photography - Photography will be largely partnered with our hikes. As we adventure together, cameras will be provided to allow students to capture moments to behold. Students will have personal booklets for their photos but also have a display space of moments they want to share, paint, sing and worship in.
Writing - Journaling and writing are powerful tools to create and imagine with. Songwriting in music, personal thoughts, experiences, emotions and expression can be heard through our writing. Many times in the month we will set aside time to write and express thoughts.
Worship - With all of these things we can honor and/or show reverence to God. Everything that has breath praise the Lord. Our team is committed to worship and teaching others to worship with clean hands and pure hearts, to loving the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to loving our neighbors as ourselves.
